Overtime Rules

Under Kansas state law, non-exempt employees who work more than 46 hours in a week must be paid at one and one-half times their regular rate of pay.

Provisions regarding overtime can be found at K.S. Stat. ยง 44-1204.

*Employers covered by federal law, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), must comply with wage regulations including minimum wage and overtime pay requirements.
