Overtime Rules

Unless exempt, EEs covered by the Act must receive overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek at a rate not less than time and one-half their regular rates of pay. The FLSA does not require overtime pay for work on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, or regular days of rest, unless overtime hours are worked on such days.
It is the policy of the OKDHS to use compensatory time in lieu of overtime payment for non-exempt EEs except in resource centers and other residential care facilities. Compensatory time at the rate of 1 .5x is granted to non-exempt EEs for all time actually worked in excess of the regular 40-hour. week
