The Change In Kickstart Rules: What Does It Mean For Your Business?

With the latest news of the threshold now at 30 jobs per company for the Kickstart Scheme has been removed, this makes it even easier for small businesses to apply for the Kickstart Scheme.

Harri had already made the application easy both for >30 and <30 Kickstart roles, however the time it was taking for approvals was up to 12 weeks. Now, with the threshold being removed, to apply and be approved for the scheme will take far less time.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak told the BBC that coronavirus restrictions were making it difficult for young people to start their roles, despite the £2bn scheme for 16-24 year olds to find new roles and build careers.

“Obviously because of the lockdowns and restrictions, that hampers businesses’ ability to bring people into work. What we can look forward to, as the restrictions ease, is more of these young people starting those placements.”
