Harri Featured in BDO – Staffing in the Wake of COVID-19: How Much Has Changed?

We were featured in BDO! Our VP of Marketing, Dan Murdoch, wrote an article outlining challenges facing hospitality operators that are restaffing operations during COVID-19, and tech-based strategies for successful pandemic staffing.

Restaurant Industry: Workforce management software platform Harri recently released survey
results among operators representing 8K locations and 185K employees to assess opinions
from operators and implications to operations on proposed labor reform. Based on the survey,
82% of restaurant operators are not in favor of a $15 minimum wage, with 89% of respondents
indicating an increase of that magnitude would disrupt their business. 77% of operators oppose
the elimination of the tip credit, with 74% indicating that eliminating the tip credit would have
negative consequences for employees.
Restaurant Industry: Based on a survey conducted by workforce technology company Harri,
~1/3 of restaurant, hotel & other hospitality workers do not intend to receive the COVID
vaccine. Among those who do not wish to be vaccinated, 57% are worried about side effects,
46% seek verification that the shots are effective and 22% do not believe in vaccination.
