Our 2021 Hospitality Wage Inflation and Disruption Report was mentioned in Credit Suisse’s Food For Thought Report: Weekend Tip Off! Hospitality operators have mixed sentiments regarding a $15/hr minimum wage and the removal of tip credit.
“Based on survey results from the National Restaurant Association & workforce management platform Harri, as well as commentary from operators, the most likely responses to proposed labor reform include: 1) an increase in menu prices, 2) a reduction in staff/hours, 3) deployment of technology and 4) restaurant closures & less appetite for growth.”
