NYC Expands Fair Workweek With New “Just Cause” Hospitality Employment Protections

On July 5th, New York City will expand its existing Fair Workweek laws to include “just cause” regulations. On top of existing Predictive Scheduling requirements, hospitality operators must now comply with employment protections for hourly workers. As an industry-wide talent crisis worsens, staying labor-efficient while remaining compliant with “just cause” is a top priority for hospitality operators.
